The Rules

These rules apply across every Infamous platform unless stated otherwise. By playing on the server or taking part in our community, you agree to follow them.

Enforcement

Staff are given guidelines to help decide punishments, but the final call is always at their discretion. In general:

minor Minor violations typically result in a warning, mute, or short term ban.
major Major violations typically result in a long term or permanent ban.

If you believe you were falsely accused, or that your punishment does not match what you were accused of, you can submit an appeal .

These rules apply both in-game and on Discord.

General

  • minor Treat all players and staff with respect.
  • minor No spamming of any kind, including repeated messages or excessive mentions.
  • major Follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines while on our Discord.
  • Always follow reasonable directions by staff.

Language & Content

  • minor No hate speech, discriminatory language, or harassment of any kind.
  • minor No targeting or harassment of players based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other protected characteristics.
  • minor No sexually explicit content.
  • minor No advertising of other servers, communities, or social media.
  • major No malicious links or attachments.
  • major No sharing or attempting to obtain personal information of other players (doxxing, phishing).

Voice Chat

  • minor Be mindful of the listening audience. Keep voice chat appropriate for that audience.
  • minor No loud or annoying audio.
  • All conduct rules above apply in voice chat.

Cheating & Exploits

  • major Use of hacked clients or cheat software is strictly prohibited.
  • major Exploiting bugs or unintended mechanics to gain an unfair advantage is prohibited. If you find a bug, report it.
  • minor Exploiting or bypassing land claims is strictly prohibited.
  • See the Modifications section for rules on mods.

Griefing & Theft

  • major Griefing: intentionally destroying, defacing, or ruining another players builds is prohibited regardless of claim status.
  • minor Stealing: Items in unclaimed land or chests are fair game. Items within claimed land are off limits regardless of how they were obtained.

PvP

  • minor Kill farming - repeatedly killing the same player without meaningful gain - is prohibited.

While scamming is prohibited, players are encouraged to use the server's built-in trading systems - /trade, player shops, and the auction house - to keep transactions safe and verifiable.

  • minor Scamming players through trades or agreements is prohibited.
  • minor Manipulating the economy through price fixing, cornering resources, or other exploitative methods is prohibited.

Using modifications or clients not explicitly named in this section is at the user's own risk. Although this list is updated frequently, it is not exhaustive. The safest thing to do is ask staff.

Allowed: Performance

Mods that improve client performance without affecting gameplay are allowed.
Examples: OptiFine, Sodium, Lithium, Starlight, FerriteCore

Allowed: Brightness & Gamma

Mods that adjust brightness or gamma settings are allowed.
Examples: Fullbright

Allowed: Aesthetic

Resource packs and mods that change the look of the game are allowed, as long as they don't alter block transparency or provide information advantages.
Examples: Shaders (Iris/Oculus), Replay Mod, outlined ore resource packs

Allowed: Automation

Auto-clickers are allowed outside of PvP. (#PreventCarpalTunnelSyndrome).

Allowed: PvP Based Clients

Clients that are recognized as safe and fair.
Examples: Lunar Client, Badlion, Feather Client

Disallowed

The following are prohibited at all times:

  • X-Ray, cave finders, or any mod altering block transparency
  • Minimaps with entity tracking or below surface "cave mode".
  • Item or inventory indicators for other players
  • Flight, speed, reach, or any mod extending vanilla player capabilities
  • Freelock / Freecam (beyond vanilla F5)
  • Aim assist
  • Hacked or utility clients of any kind
  • Any mod that communicates with the server in a non-standard way
